May of 2018 marks my 10 year anniversary in business and tonight, as weird as it sounds, was the first time I celebrated anything having to do with my business. For some reason, I never found the opportunity, maybe because when I got a big client I didn’t want to jinx it or maybe because after I finished a job I was already onto other opportunities. When my 10 year anniversary came I wanted to do something so Heather, my super fine girlfriend, took me out to my favorite steakhouse. While I have had other steak dinners with clients or for random birthdays, I had yet to do anything to celebrate Brotsky, LLC so this one was special. Thanks Heather!
Over the past 10 years, I have learned a lot:

- Libraries: jQuery, TweenLite/Max, SASS, Gulp, etc
- Mobile Dev: iOS, Android, and Mobile Web App
- Version Control: Git, SVG
- Hosting / Servers: AWS EC2, AWS CloudFront, AWS S3, AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, cPanel WHM, Linux, Apache, Nginx

- Business: How to sell, how to start an LLC, basic accounting, making a business plan, how equity works, how raising money works, etc
I have worked for hundreds of companies big and small, from a mom and pop store to a Fortune 500 corporation. I have met people of all sorts, some successful, other far from it. Some inspiration, others being examples of what not to be. Some nice, others mean. Some rich, others poor. Some of my past work has been for American Express, Google, YouTube, Chase, SAP, Symantec, Verisign, Marriott, AT&T, DirecTV, NASA, 211 Los Angeles, Habitat for Humanity, Howie Mandel, Dan Bilzerian, etc.
I have worked as an intern, a designer, a developer, an SEO expert, a branding consultant, a tech consultant, and a CTO.
I have worked on over 600 projects in many industries such as Finance, Legal, Medical, Industrial, Guns, Military, Government, Automotive, Politics, Tech Startup, Advertisement, Logistics, Financial Tech, E-commerce, Real Estate, Music, Machinery, Construction, Fashion, Social Media, TV & Film, and even a few celebrities.
I've built websites, planned email campaigns, coded e-commerce websites, launched blogs & podcasts, deployed mobile applications, designed logos, coded custom animations, designed presentations, designed mobile and web UIs, engineered automation, architected financial algorithms, and built robots.
Financially, I have done well at times and horrible at others. I’ve had months that I couldn’t believe how much money I made and others where I couldn’t believe how much I lost.
I have worked with people all over the globe, some in other states, some in other countries. I worked with people in California, New York, Ohio, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Florida, Texas, Argentina, India, Morocco, Russia, Ukraine, England, Nigeria, Israel, Poland, Pakistan, Canada, and France.
I have achieved some personal goals including doing work for a publicly traded company (I’ve done at least 8), having my work featured (I had a website featured on WordPress’ showcase and another couple on Awwwards), designing a celebrity website (I’ve worked on a few now), owning a Porsche (my dream car since I was 10), and doing a tech startup (doing it with Payclub).
The business has helped me to create partnerships and lifelong friendships with people that have been supportive through thick and thin. Although I have lost touch with many clients and previous team members, each has had an impact on my career.
I have made many mistakes, had many failures, and made bad business decisions and I wouldn’t take back any of them.
And the best part of all of it has been how much FUN it has been. Here’s to many more years of business! A special thanks to the Brotsky team, clients, friends, and family for being so supportive this past decade!
